Support the implementation of and development of evidence-based interventions

We support the implementation and development of evidence-based interventions that integrate research into health and social services to ensure the effective implementation of programs. An overriding aim of the research is to strengthen our support to stakeholders to be effective in generating, interrogating and using data to adapt and improve programme and service delivery on a continuous basis and to bridge the gap between science and implementation.

Undertake continuous quality improvement initiatives and impact evaluation of interventions.

To strengthen community-based monitoring systems, we undertake granular, targeted, and adapted HIV, TB, STI, COVID-19 and related programming that is based on improved surveillance, and localized assessment of risks and vulnerabilities, to ensure access to services and outcomes. For quality improvement, we rely on  collecting and reporting  disaggregated data on services and programmes delivered. This is done to continuously leverage and adapt existing data collection techniques and methods  to respond to different project needs, contexts or sectors and  monitor and better support people living with HIV in fragile and humanitarian contexts.

Support strategic partners to undertake research and innovation

We foster partnerships with universities, community organisations, and business  to integrate research activities. This is meant to  establish community-driven research initiatives that drive and catalyse change and translates into effective implementation of policies and government guidelines at a local level.
